BELFAST: Xolani Nkosi is one of the beneficiaries who was fortunate to be awarded a bursary to pursue a career in Electrical Engineering. The bursary covered tuition fees for three months to the tune of R4000.
Xolani alluded that he was made aware of the bursary through a former student and bursary holder of Circleway Training Belfast College who was awarded the bursary before him by Belfast Coal. He used that information to his advantage by applying for the bursary instantly.
As a problem solver, and someone who is devoted to solving challenges, he opted for such a career path with the hope that it would unleash his true potential and bring about change in whichever sector he might be in, in the near future, “I have acquired useful skills during my study. I learned how to cope with pressure, engaging with different people at different levels, I can handle conflicts, and I have acquired good communication skills. This opportunity has assisted me, because now I stand a chance of being employment should there be an opportunities related to what I have studied” he said.
He further revealed that he would love to become an Artisan, Technician or Electrician in future.
