VENICE SWIMMING SCHOOL OPENS ANOTHER CAMPUS

Kgobokwane:Venice Swimming School has opened another campus on Saturday at Dinong Gardens Kgobokwane in the Dennilton in Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality in the area of Sekhukhune District Municipality in Limpopo Province. This program started on the 4th of February 2023 after the number of children were drownings in the area. The opening of the second campus had 41 children and 7 adults. The children were from the surrounding schools in the area.

On the day, the children had a day filled with different swimming activities, where they learned basic swimming techniques which include breathing under water, kicking, front strokes and other basic fundamentals. Not only did they learn about swimming, but the facilitators also sat down with the kids and taught them about the effects of smoking, drugs and teenage pregnancy.

we all know that swimming and Sports as a whole is a great way to take children off the streets and fight social issues we have in our communities.

The founder of the school of the school Venice Ditshego cited lack of funding as the main challenge for the school, “the main challenge we are facing is funding. Ones we get that, we will be able to reach children from other areas and continue the program with them, creating champions in swimming. It will allow us to run the program smoothly with a great reach. Venice Swimming School would like to thank all those who show support to our program” said Ditshego.

One of the parents from Kgobokwane see the school as the blessing to their village as it will develop their children into future stars, “ these are  great news indeed for our village, Kgobokwana needs development and such a facility is a blessing for the developmentof our children” She concluded.
