“We are going to buy cloths to manufacture more masks and winter clothes for school children,” she said.

Maila said some of the portion of the voucher will be spent toward contributing in the Women Rural Movement Organization that distribute masks freely to needy community members.

“This is much needed help we were waiting for. We thank SALGA and Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality for the necessary support they provided to our businesses,” she said.

Another beneficiary, Lekgomesana Annah Mashao, from Motetema Township said she will be using the voucher to buy more sewing material to boost her business.

“I am a fashion designer and my business is very slow these days because social gatherings are prohibited in the period of Covid-19. The voucher will help me explore and seek other opportunities while busy manufacturing masks to help the community. I am happy with the support by SALGA and Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality,” she said.
