SALGA scooped three recognition awards

Groblersdal:South African Local Government Association (Salga) has awarded Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality under the leadership of the Mayor Cllr David Tladi, with three awards for 100% MIG spending and for the sustaining unqualified audit opinion 2021/2022 for the second consecutive year at salga municipal awards held at the Ranch Resort , Thursday night.
The awards are an annual event meant to inspire municipal excellence, good governance, and sound fiscal management.
The awards are also meant to continually recommit all municipalities to a programme of action that will be in line with the imperatives of the clean audit programme.
According to the Mayor of Elias Motsoaledi,Cllr David Tladi ,”This is a reflection of the hard work and dedication towards ensuring that we deliver efficient and effective services to our people.
This is the right step towards ensuring that we not only maintain clean books but we are accountable to residents on how we use their rates”.
Municipal Manager, Mr Meshack Kgwale, who was accompanying the Mayor ,thanked all staff and stakeholders for their role in ensuring that the Municipality maintains these highest standards and for the continued support and commitment.
