South Africa – South African creatives, technologists, and strategists now have the chance to work with some of the world’s biggest brands — without leaving home. Brandtech+, a leading international creative and production company, is hiring over 100 global employees, with a particular focus on South African talent.
The company, which specialises in film, CGI, motion design, and print, already employs more than 220 staff in South Africa and over 1,000 people globally, serving clients across the US, UK, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
Candice Siege, Brandtech+ Global Chief Operations Officer, said South Africa has become one of the company’s “strategic hiring markets.” She highlighted the country’s internationally recognised creative talent, strong work ethic, and advantageous time zone for working with Europe and the US.
“Our model is remote and genuinely flexible, giving talented people the chance to build global careers from home,” Siege said. “We want incredible, future-focused South African creatives, strategists, producers, and technologists to realise they can build international careers from home.”
The 100 open roles span mid-to-senior talent and AI-aligned specialisations, offering South Africans the opportunity to work on international projects without navigating the local “pitch treadmill” or relocating abroad.
This hiring push comes amid a challenging period for South Africa’s advertising and production sector, which faces talent retention issues, consolidation, and the rise of AI. Despite this, Brandtech+ said it is scaling faster than it can hire — a “good problem to have.”
The trend aligns with a growing movement of South Africans returning home after years abroad. Recruitment group DNA EOR reported a 70% increase in South Africans actively seeking to move back from London, Amsterdam, Toronto, and Sydney over the past year. Many are motivated by family, lifestyle, and improving conditions in South Africa — without needing to give up their high-paying international roles, thanks to remote work.
DNA EOR noted that South Africa is one of the strongest remote-first talent markets globally, thanks to its cost advantages, time zone alignment, high education standards, and neutral English accents.
For South Africans eager to work on global projects while staying close to home, Brandtech+ offers a unique opportunity to do just that — helping build the world’s best GenAI marketing company while shaping the future of international creative work.
