Beloved Congregation tonight, I invite you to focus your hearts and minds on the supernatural understanding and revelation of Scriptures. To begin, let’s turn to Luke 24:45-47

“He supernaturally unlocked their understanding to receive the revelation of the Scriptures. Then He said to them, ‘Everything that has happened fulfills what was prophesied of me. Christ, the Messiah, was destined to suffer and rise from the dead on the third day. Now you must go into all the nations and preach repentance and forgiveness of sins so that they will turn to me. Start right here in Jerusalem.'”

In this passage, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ not only demonstrated victory over death and sin but also recognized that His disciples needed something more. They required the spiritual insight to sustain their faith and to become His witnesses throughout the world. It was through the act of supernaturally unlocking their understanding that Christ empowered His disciples to eloquently share the Gospel. They bore the weight of this supernatural revelation, and it equipped them to win souls using the Word of God. Today, in our modern era, we know that no one can grasp the Scriptures without the Holy Spirit, who operates without borders.

Now, you may wonder: Why do we need the supernatural revelation of Scriptures? Lord Jesus provided a clear answer when He issued the command: “Now you must go into all the nations and preach repentance and forgiveness of sins.” We cannot preach repentance without the insight that comes through the supernatural revelation of Scriptures. This command by Christ marked the beginning of the Apostolic Mission, which spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ from Judea, Samaria, Jerusalem, and to the ends of the earth.

Let’s examine Peter’s Pentecost Sermon as a prime example of this supernatural revelation found in Acts 2:14-21

“Peter stood up with the eleven apostles and shouted to the crowd, ‘Listen carefully, my fellow Jews and residents of Jerusalem. You need to understand what’s happening here. These people are not drunk as you think; it is only nine o’clock in the morning. This is the fulfillment of what was prophesied through the prophet Joel…'”

In this moment, Peter exemplified the boldness provided by the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit, which Christ promised before His glorification. He courageously articulated the prophecy of Joel, affirming that in the last days, God’s Spirit would be poured out upon all people. Beloved, to exhibit this same courage, we too must rely on the Holy Spirit so that we can be effective witnesses for Jesus Christ across all corners of the world.

Finally, it is important to remember that one cannot genuinely comprehend the Scriptures supernaturally without first confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. He was destined to suffer and rise from the dead on the third day.

Thank you for allowing me to share the Word of God with you tonight.

God bless you in Jesus’ name. Amen.
