QUEENS MASSIVE HIRE PUT SMILES TO TOP LEARNERS IN MATSEBONG

DICHOUENG: On Monday Matsebong Alumni and the following individuals Benjamin Mosehla, Sepadi “Tex”Matlala, Norman Aphane, Elias Phetla,Kgopotso Mashego, Lilian Motseni, Bishop Tebogo Mohlala, Pebetse Matsipane and many others who could not attend for various valid reasons joined Timeless News Foundation in hosting the inaugural Midyear Top Learner Achiever Awards in a glittering ceremony which took place at Matsebong Secondary School , the awards ceremony was attended by more than 500 learners and teachers . The aim of these awards is to ignite the passion of excellence amongst the learners to achieve great results as a precursor to a tertiary and adult life post high school which requires self control, discipline and determination for one to succeed. The keynote speaker of the day Ms Precious Moshopiadi Mogajane encouraged learners to set goals and get mentorship in all areas of their lives, “ goal setting requires dedication, determination and self-discipline while you are at it, you must find someone who will mentor you in achieving your goals. I also have mentor who hold me accountable not to deviate from my goals, however as learners who have reached the critical stages of your school lives you need to study hard in order for you to be counted amongst the best” explained Mogajane who is a Physiotherapist to one of the local hospitals and an accomplished author of the book called GRACEFULLY BROKEN. Bishop Tebogo Mohlala the Lead Pastor at Holy Messengers Church encouraged learners to trust God in everything they do, “ Life has lot of stumbling blocks and as a learner you are not an exception to those stumbling blocks, however if you put your trust in him he will win all your battles.” exclaimed Mohlala. The school headmaster Mr Solly Lentsoane who is one of the longest serving teachers at the school was impressed by the passion of the organizers these awards, “ its imperative for me to recognize the organizers of these top achiever awards for inspiring our learners to do well in their studies and to the recipients of these awards pull up socks and continue to work hard because we want to see you featuring prominently amongst the top achievers in Limpopo if not the whole country. quipped Lentsoane. The event main sponsor was the Business Leader of QUEENS MASSIVE HIRE Mr Nkopodi Mashabela who is also a former teacher at Matsebong, he gave ten years of his life to the school uninterruptedly and consistently from 1986 to 1996, “I have enjoyed every moment of my teaching in Matsebong, enjoying the support of my fellow colleagues because we were working collectively as a team.” said Mashabela. He showered his former colleagues with praises for being team players and for creating family environment which made their work much bearable and enjoyable, “I have enjoyed every moment of my teaching in Matsebong and the support of my fellow colleagues because we were united . There were hardly any challenges at all, learners were respectful and committed, as teachers we had rapport and one common vision of always wanting to see the school performing well ” His love for the school lingers on, even though he left the school 27 years ago, “Matsebong is still close to my heart. When I was approached to sponsor this event, I didn’t even think twice or doubt because I saw this as an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the school where I was once a teacher. This school gave me the work experience which still benefits even now ”. He reserved his special tribute to the top achievers and gave hope to those who have stumbled during this term not give up, “ to the top performing learners I say the sky is the limit and to those who didn’t perform well, I am saying perseverance is the mother of success” concluded Mashabela.
