Ngwanamatlang: BUCO Jane Furse, in collaboration with Infinity Grace Ministry, the Mmashadi Local Taxi Association, and the Timeless News Foundation, has donated 20 food parcels to child-headed families in the spirit of Mandela Day.

To honor the legacy of former President Nelson Mandela, BUCO Jane Furse recognized the importance of not only making profits from the community but also giving back and positively impacting the lives of young people from impoverished families.

The collaborative ceremony was supported by local community members, representatives from the Mmashadi Taxi Association, twenty recipients of the food parcels, and ward 18 councillor Norman Aphane representing the Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality.

The Cllr Aphane expressed support for the initiative, stating, “We are pleased to see local businesses making an effort to give back to our communities, and we believe that this will be a continuous effort.”

It was heartwarming to see that the recipients of the food parcels felt their dignity had been restored. Timeless News Foundation Founder Mr. Thulane Madalane  stated, “It is important for local businesses to join hands to bring about change in the lives of our young people and our communities. As Nelson Mandela once cautioned us, overcoming poverty is not a gesture of charity; it is an act of justice. It is the protection of a fundamental human right: the right to dignity and a decent life.”

The Mmashadi Local Taxi Association assisted in transporting the twenty food parcel recipients from their respective homes to Infinity Grace Ministry in the Jane Furse RDP section. The Chairman of the Association, Mr. Christopher Makua, expressed his elation at their involvement in this noble initiative, stating, “As Mmashadi Local Taxi Association, we are happy to be associated with community upliftment initiatives. These recipients are, in one way or another, our clients, and we are pleased to give back to them.”

Lead Pastor of Infinity Grace Ministry,  Apostle Steve Ugochukwu, expressed his gratitude for the benevolent action taken by the event’s organizers. “I am ecstatic about this generous gesture from BUCO Jane Furse, Mmashadi Local Taxi Association, the Timeless News Foundation, our ward councillor Mr Aphane, Sister Evelyn, and Sister Refiloe. We did not bring you to this ministry to convert you to Christianity, rather, we brought you here to express the love that God has placed in our hearts as His children. Let me emphasize the importance of loving one another, and let’s extend the same love to BUCO Jane Furse by purchasing our building materials from them whenever needed,” ugochukwu said.

BUCO Jane Furse Branch Manager Evelyn Phakola shared her excitement about her company’s contributions to the community, stating, “Today, I am happy that BUCO can now be associated with a community where we do business, and I hope this marks the beginning of great things to come.”
