East London: Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality Executive Mayor Councilor Princess Faku has fired Cllr Councillor Graham Lottering as the MMC for Sport, Recreation and Community Development.
In and effort to strengthen the Metro’s sports development agenda.
Faku announced that she will be replacing Lottering with Cllr Mninawa Nyusile, on Friday.
Nyusile is expected to resume his duties of heading the portfolio and directorate with immediate effect.
Having being a former Member of the Provincial Legislature the mayor has praised Nyusiles vast political experience which is suitable for the task at hand.
“Nyusile comes with vast experience as he was actively involved in trade union movement and was also deputy chair of Cosatu.”
The details to why Lottering was removed from the mayoral committee are still unknown.
However, Faku has expressed gratitude towards Lottering for his service and contributions.
