Phakamisa, King Williams Town– The AmaNdlambe Traditional Council has officially been reconstituted and sworn in during a dignified ceremony held in the heart of Rharhabe, in Phakamisa, on Tuesday.
The newly appointed council members took an oath to uphold the traditions and values of the AmaNdlambe people, pledging to lead with integrity, unity, and wisdom. The ceremony marked a significant step in reinforcing traditional leadership structures and cultural heritage in the region.
One of the newly sworn-in council members described the occasion as a solemn commitment to community and continuity. “We step into this responsibility not as individuals, but as custodians of our people’s legacy,” they said.
The event was attended by local leaders, community members, and traditional authorities who hailed the reconstitution as a necessary move towards strengthening governance and cultural preservation in the Rharhabe Kingdom.
The AmaNdlambe Traditional Council is expected to play a critical role in community development, dispute resolution, and the preservation of indigenous knowledge systems.
