Makhuduthamaga Mayor unleash TUPS festive series

Marulaneng – Limpopo’s homegrown sporting code, TUPS Sport, is back to its winning ways with the hive of activity allied to spectacular launch of the TUPS Festive Series. Unveiled on Saturday 09 December 2023 at Tups City Arts and Sport Precinct, the TUPS Festive Series was a sole opportunity for the newly elected Mayor Mahlase to reach out to the sporting community of Makhuduthamaga. Among the core activities of the festive series was TUPS sport u/15, golf coaching clinics u/15 and freestyle hockey development u/15.

According to Mayor Merah Mahlase TUPS festive series is the beginning of many ways through which the Municipality rally communities towards a safe, healthy and active festive season. “As a caring Municipality and a committed partner in community safety, we fully support the TUPS Festive Series and we will continue to do so for other codes throughout the festive season. We have started at Tups City Arts and Sport Precinct in Marulaneng, Ward 23 and we included in this weekend’s series the Basketball tournament which featured the cancer awareness fun run at Peter Nchabeleng Sports Complex in Ward 16. We especially chose Tups for this festive series as a Makhuduthamaga born and bred sporting code” explained Mayor Mahlase
Taking cue from Mayor Mahlase, the TUPS President who is doubling as the Secretary-general of Limpopo Sports Confederation Mr Puleng Mmotla expressed his gratitude and congratulations to Mayor Merah Mahlase for putting Tups Sport in the list of the sporting codes to be supported through the Makhuduthamaga Festive Sport Series.

“We heartily congratulate Mayor Mahlase for her inclusion of Tups sporting code in the Makhuduthmaga Festive Sport Series in 2023. We are calling upon parents and interested athletes to participate in a range of activities to be played throughout the festive season. We thank you for all your support thus far, and especially thank Mr Isaac Tsoana, the sport officer of Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality for enabling participants from Mogaladi, Malegale, Madibaneng, Tswaing, Manganeng, Mathibeng, Mashite, Marulaneng, Jane Furse and Makhutšo to participate in the launch of the Festive Series” concluded Mmotla
