MOGOTLE COMMUNICATES FOR LIMPOPO’S FIRST CITIZEN

Jane Furse : On Monday Mr Romeo Mogotle was appointed as the Media Liaison Officer for the Premier of Limpopo Mr Chupu Stanley Mathabatha. A soon to be 38-year-old Mogotle was born and raised in Madibong in Jane Furse Sekhukhune, he started his primary education in Mmokwane Primary School in Madibong and went to Matsebong Secondary School where he completed his Secondary education. Mogotle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Administration from the University of Limpopo. He is currently pursuing a BA Honors in International Politics with UNISA, further enhancing his knowledge and understanding of global political dynamics.
Magotle comes from the highly politicized family background joining pre-tertiary and tertiary student politics was a natural progression for him. He gave his youthful years and energy to Progressive Youth Alliance which was comprised of Congress of South African Students, South African Students Congress, African National Congress Youth League and Young Communist League, currently he is the ANC branch treasurer for Phakane Moretsele in ward 18 in Makhuduthamaga Sub-Rgion. Mogotle brings a wealth of experience and expertise in communication and media liaison to his new role. Prior to joining the Office of the Premier, Mogotle served as the Manager CEO Support at the Limpopo Gambling Board, where he was responsible for communication and media liaison. His experience in this role has equipped him with a deep understanding of effective communication strategies and stakeholder engagement.
Mogotle’s journey in the field of communication began in 2013 when he started as an intern for Intergovernmental and International Relations at the Office of the Premier. He then went on to work as a Researcher for the ANC Parliamentary Caucus, where he honed his research and analytical skills. In 2018, he joined the Mopani District Municipality, where he managed the Office of the Municipal Manager until 2020, before joining the Limpopo Gambling Board.
As the Media Liaison Officer, Mogotle will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication between the Premier and the media. His extensive experience and qualifications make him well-equipped to handle media queries, engage with journalists, and ensure accurate and timely dissemination of information. Limpopo Government Provincial Government Ndavhe Ramakuela expressed his happiness at the appointment of Mogotle as the new edition to the communications team in the Office of the Premier “ we are excited to have Mr Mogotle in our team, we hope and believe that he will add the much needed value to the department because of his experience and qualifications, his primary responsibility will be facilitating an effective communication between Premier and the media ” concluded Ramakuela.
