KATJIBANE : The life of a destitute family changed for the better after it was given a new house by the Nkangala District Municipality (NDM) and the Department of Social Development (DSD). The house recipient, Mr Matjila, from Katjibane Village in Dr JS Moroka Local Municipality Ward 27, has been living in an old dilapidated mudded house for many years before he was identified as the house beneficiary. Matjila’s long cherished dream of owning a house was realised recently when the district municipality, together with DSD donated him a fully furnished four room house, which consist of two bedrooms, a kitchen and a sitting room.
NDM Communications Manager, Besabakhe “KK” Ntuli, told Timeless News that the predicament of the family was brought to the attention of the executive mayor by the ward councillor and community members. “After the plight of the resident was highlighted to the district municipality, the Executive Mayor Cllr Sarah Masilela approached the Department of Social Development, where together took an initiative to make the man’s dream of owning a house becomes a reality,” he said. Ntuli said the house was furnished with a kitchen unit, couches, coffee table, fridge, two beds and a two plate electric stove. “The executive mayor also presented the beneficiary with eight blankets to prepare for the coming winter season,” Ntuli explained. Ntuli said the house donation initiative will be continuing as part of government’s concerted efforts to care for the people.
DSD also handed-over food parcels to the unemployed beneficiary.
I have read your article carefully and I agree with you very much. This has provided a great help for my thesis writing, and I will seriously improve it. However, I don’t know much about a certain place. Can you help me? https://www.gate.io/uk/signup/XwNAU
