Jane Furse: On Thursday morning learners of ST Marks Comprehensive College in Jane Furse were attacked by evil spirits, which manifested differently on more than  200 learners, others fainted, others ran amok, while others were screaming uncontrollably saying that they were allegedly seeing a big snake that wanted  to devour them. one parent who asked to remain anonymous for fear of victimisation spoke to Timeless News ” I got call from the school alerting me that my granddaughter was one of the victims of these demonic attacks, upon arrival  at  the  school i found her gasping for breath, while her peers were either running or screaming for help, they allegedly said there were seeing a big snake which wanted to devour them, I asked one of the school teachers that are they able to witness what these kids are seeing? she said no, this is  a hallucination that should not be taken lightly, my granddaughter is facing these kind of attacks for the second time last year she went through the same ordeal around August.” said the anonymous parent. Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality Mayor  Cllr Minah Bahula organized an interfaith Prayer Meeting at the school premises on Friday which was attended by local pastors from different denominations, the pastors  constitute Makhuduthamaga Moral Regeneration Commitee which is within the armpit of the office the mayor. The mayor emphasized unity amongst the interfaith community in order for souls to be soothed by men and women of cloth, she encouraged parents and learners to use prayer as the only weapon against evil spirits that are perpetually attacking learners ” let’s all pray against these kind of attacks in order for them not to go beyond the premises of ST Marks College, because if we allow these kind of spirits to roam freely, they are going to disharmonise the education of our children in other schools as well. I applaud the parents for their Steadfastness throughout this ordeal” said  Bahula. The Mayor promised a social-psycho support to learners beyond the prayer meeting ” I spoke to the MEC, she advised me to write the letter to Department of Education and Department of Social Development for support because as the municipality we don’t  want to be caught up in activities that will destabilise the academic programs of the school” quipped Bahula. The Mayor also took an opportunity to assure the residents of Makhuduthamaga that she is working around the clock with the Executive Mayor of Sekhukhune District Municipality Cllr  Maleke Mokganyetji to resolve sporadic service delivery protests in Ga-Phaahla and Ga-Masemola ” with regard to the protest in Ga-Phaahla we have agreed with the community and its leaders that we will regravel the roads as temporary relief, while working on a permanent solutions not only to Ga-Phaahla community alone but to others places with similar challenges and with regard to the water supply shortage in Ga-Masemola let me apologize to residents of Ga-Masemola for the interruption of their normal water supply, we had a mechanical breakdown in one of our pump stations there which affected the water supply  to the   community of Ga-Masemola we have established  a task teams  which will put an end to this impasse very soon” concluded Bahula
