MAKHUDUTHAMAGA VTS RE-OPENS FOR PUBLIC USE
By Staff Reporter
Nebo:The Mayor Of Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality Cllr Minah Bahula with her team of officials, on Wednesday went to Nebo Traffic Station to re-open the centre for public use, after expanding and refurbishing the infrastructure. The mayor expressed her happiness about the completion of the project because it means it will be business as usual at the centre, “A relief and now convenient for our motorists to now resort to this friendly and efficient facility, unlike in the past where they had to rely on private businesses offering the same or travel distances to other Municipalities for the same service” said Bahula.
The Mayor says non- utilization of the center created a huge burden on Municipal fiscus as this resulted in under collection of potential revenue.
“Revenue collection remains strategic and key fundamental development priority for any Municipality, to be able to sustain itself economically and provide different services to communities”. concluded Bahula
Stakeholders from taxi organizations, driving schools operators, businesses and Magoŝi praises the Mayor for her sterling work and have embraced this development. Plans are in place to extend the same VTS service to the Sekhukhune ( Schoornord) Traffic Station.
